Project Description

Ridge Augmentation and Preservation

Ridge Augmentation and Socket Preservation

After a tooth is removed, the jaw shrinks, leaving an indentation in the gums and jawbone. The indentation looks unnatural and affects the beauty of your smile. The shrinking jawbone also reduces the longevity of bridgework and dental implants.

Dr. Lamble performs Ridge Augmentation and Preservation procedures to avoid those problems. We add bone to fill in the defects caused by tooth removal, recapturing the original contour of your gums and jaw. This is most often done during dental implant treatment. The result is a natural look which maintains the soft tissue contours which are easier to keep clean and healthy.
