Our Services

General dentists are trained to diagnose and treat periodontal disease in its earliest stages. However, many general dentists in Mid-Michigan trust Dr. Monica A. Lamble, and the entire team at Dr. Monica A. Lamble Advanced Periodontics & Dental Implants, for specialized treatments. We treat advanced periodontal disease every day, so we’re experts in restoring health in the least invasive and most cost-effective manner.

You may not be experiencing any obvious symptoms or discomfort. That’s true for some of our patients. Based on his or her exam, your general dentist may have detected an issue in your mouth during a routine visit. We are here to team up with your dentist and assist in bettering your oral and overall health.

Despite the possible lack of symptoms, periodontal problems are serious and you should seek treatment for them as soon as possible. Periodontal disease slowly destroys the gum line and bone support for your teeth. Eventually, periodontitis leads to tooth loss. In addition, several studies connect periodontal disease to cardiac problems, including heart disease and heart attacks. Periodontal infections have also been linked to premature and low birth weight babies. The disease can also adversely affect a diabetic’s ability to control blood sugar levels.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made of titanium. It is carefully placed into the jaw and allowed to integrate into the bone. Once healed, the general dentist can place a crown, bridge, or denture.

Regenerative Procedures

When deep cleaning, or scaling and root planing, is not enough to restore the health of the bones supporting your teeth, the specialists at Dr. Monica A. Lamble Advanced Periodontics & Dental Implants may recommend Surgery and Bone Regeneration Procedures.

Gum or Soft Tissue Grafting

At Dr. Monica A. Lamble Advanced Periodontics & Dental Implants, we perform Soft Tissue Grafting, also known as Gum Grafting.

Ridge Augmentation and Socket Preservation

After a tooth is removed, the jaw shrinks, leaving an indentation in the gums and jawbone.

Sinus Lift

Sinus Lifts involve placing bone graft material underneath the sinus to allow us more bone to place an implant.

Crown
Lengthening /
Exposure

During a Crown Lengthening/Crown Exposure procedure, excess gum and bone tissue are reshaped to expose more of your natural tooth.

Crown Exposure is done to expose a tooth so that it can be moved into the correct position during orthodontic treatment

Frenectomy /

Fiberotomy

Frenectomy and Fiberotomy are each simple surgical procedures often recommended as part of an orthodontic treatment plan.

TMD or TMJ

Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, often abbreviated as TMD or TMJ, occur as a result of problems with the jaw, jaw joint, and surrounding facial muscles. It also can result from grinding or clenching your teeth.

Soft Tissue Biopsy

Soft Tissue Biopsies are performed on abnormal oral lesions. The experts at Dr. Monica A. Lamble Advanced Periodontics & Dental Implants will biopsy the lesion and send the tissue to an oral pathologist for diagnosis.
